A Twenty-Third Psalm For Those Under Pressure

The Lord is my pacesetter, I shall not rush.
He invites me to stop and rest for quiet intervals.
He provides me with images of stillness which restore my soul.
He leads me in the ways of efficiency but through calmness of mind.
His guidance is my confidence.
Even though I have many things that must be accomplished
this day I will not fret for He is there in it all;
His timlessness, His presence keep me in balance.
He prepares refreshment and renewal in the midst of my activity
by anointing my spirit with the oils of tranquility.
My cup of meaning overlows.
Surley inspiration, balance and effectiveness shall be there in my striving,
And moving by His grace at His pace I shall dwell in His house forever.
